2001 Spring Break on Hunting Island

Last year’s trip to Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina had pretty much convinced us that heading south during Spring Break was a very good thing to do. Come the end of March in the Northeast, the thought of warm sea breezes and palmetto trees becomes very inviting.

Hunting Island was absolutely perfect for us. Besides having a beautiful beach to camp on, the island has lots of trails for biking, which is one of our favorite things to do. As much as I love relaxing on a beach, I really like to do some active exploring as well.

Unlike last year, this year we were not traveling alone, but had invited friends to come along. Their kids were close in age to ours, and they had practically grown up together, so we knew it would work out great.
